Chikungunya causes fevers as high as 104F. Long term sypotoms include arthralgia (joint pain) and myalgia (muscle pain).
Chikungunya is thought to have arrived in America due to vacationing Virginians and the Virginia Department of Health fears that our large mosquito population may cause it to spread.
